Perhaps this might point you in the right direction? I hope it helps. Download PowerPanel Personal 2.4.6 - Intuitive tool that helps you control your CyberPower UPS with the aid of sound notifications upon power events, check out the battery capacity and. So….bottom line, in my case it was junk left over in windows that the Winzip utility cleaned up. I also have a CyberPower LX1500GU3 1500VA 900 watt UPS connected to my desktop and the software works great. We are operating Windows and find that Cyber Power POWERPANEL Personal version 2.2.3m works fine at boot up and when the PC is rebooted but does not reengage after the PC wakes up from sleep mode. I have tested two UPS ST425 models connected to the laptop and everything is working. Once I knew it was working I chose the upgrade icon in the software and upgraded it 2.4.8.1 and it installed without any problems. I also updated some drivers and there is some other stuff I can do later but my focus was cleaning up the registry file in windows so I could install this program.Īfter using the winzip utility I downloaded PowerPanel Personal (2.4.8) and installed it and tested it. Then I ran the “uninstall cleanup” function – it took a while as I had over 1000 Registry items to clean up but I just left it to run and it took about 20 minutes or so. Recently, my CyberPower UPS decided that it would state that it cant communicate with the UPS. So, I downloaded WinZip System Utilities Suite – it is free. There are only a couple of programs installed on it right now so the drive is very clean and windows has not had a chance to have its registry file messed with so I thought perhaps it’s “clutter in windows” on my laptop’s hard drive. I just replaced a hard drive last week on my desktop and CyberPower PowerPanel Personal installed clean and so did the upgrade. Instead, I’m going to be using the Network UPS Tools (NUT) suite. However, it has its limits and cannot be used with anything other than CyberPower devices. After 3 installs and uninstalls using windows utilities it just kept failing to even load. CyberPower provides software called PowerPanel Personal that runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux. For people stumbling across this thread, I definitely DO NOT recommend anybody buy this UPS.OK so I ran into the same issue today and here is how I got it resolved. I am disgusted that I paid $180 CAD for this, and this is the second RMA thats doing this. So, after doing the math, this UPS has a switchover period of about 66ms where the voltage is out of spec. In the video I recorded, once power is disconnected the light bulb is half on for about one frame, and is completely off for three consecutive frames before turning back on in the fourth frame. I don't have an oscilloscope to accurately test the switchover time, but I did do a slightly less accurate test using my phone camera recording at 60 FPS. To my surprise, the switchover time is so long that the incandescent bulb actually shuts off briefly when unplugging the unit. I plugged in a 40w incandescent lamp and gave it a go. I connected it up to the UPS battery terminals using a non official method but still very securely none the less. Voltage was 14.1 when I checked with a multi meter. While the Personal Edition of CyberPower’s UPS management software covers the bases for the majority of home and small office users by it offering monitoring, scheduling, and diagnostic testing, there are a few settings power users may be longing for that you won’t find in the Personal Edition. Since the battery in my unit was getting old, I got my car battery hot off the alternator after my drive home today. I still have this crap UPS, and yes it is still crap. Sorry to revive my old thread, but I found some info worth sharing.
